Dance Discovery Class: Soft Shoe & Musical Theatre
Wednesday, March 14th 6:30pm-8:30pm
Tarkington Theater Rooms 141 & 142

Pink Martini is often described a rollicking around-the-world musical adventure. Drawing musical inspiration from all over the world, this "little orchestra" crosses genres of classical, jazz, Latin, and pop.

The music of Pink Martini will be our soundtrack during this Dance Discovery session. The first piece we’ll learn will be a bit of soft shoe infused with improvisational elements and the other will consist of upbeat Musical Theatre choreography. Both choreographed pieces lend themselves to storytelling through the movement.

No partner or previous dancing experience necessary to register.
Suggested for ages 12 through adult.

Appropriate Attire: Clothing that is comfortable to move in and dance shoes if you have them. If not, non-rubber soled shoes. No sandals.
