Dance Discovery Class: Swing
Wednesday, February 7th 6:30pm-8:30pm
Palladium Founders Room

Always upbeat and lively, Swing dance grew out of the jazz music of the 1920s-40s and quickly spread throughout the country. Clubs were filled with the music as dancers swung to the syncopated rhythms. Though naysayers called swing "a degenerated form of jazz" that would never last, swing is still a popular form of social dancing today.

Get your swing on during our Dance Discovery session and try out a few steps from the Lindy Hop, Jitterbug, or Charleston! Because you know, “it don’t mean a thing if it ain’t got that swing!”

No partner or previous dancing experience necessary to register.
Suggested for ages 12 through adult.

Appropriate Attire: Clothing that is comfortable to move in and dance shoes if you have them. If not, non-rubber soled shoes. No sandals.
