Join us for a basic lesson on early traditional Irish dance and ceili dances, along with the evolution that brought Irish dancing to its modern day competitive solo steps. No partner or previous dancing experience necessary to register. Suggested for ages 12 through adult.

Appropriate Attire: Shorts and a t-shirt that are good for movement. Socks and tennis shoes for the feet, or ballet slippers if already own them.

About the Instructor
Liz Donahue Jones started dancing at the age of six. She achieved the level of Champion Irish Dancer by winning six Preliminary Championships at the age of 15. She qualified for and competed in the World Championships in Ireland five straight times. She achieved a ranking of fourth in the Midwest and was ranked eleventh in North America. She has been teaching Irish dance since 1999, and is one of the lead instructors with the Richens/Timm Academy in Indianapolis and Tipton.

Following this session, consider attending the Dublin Irish Dancers on February 3rd.
