Now hosting series on public television,
Feinstein books young protégés as guests

Great American Songbook Foundation founder Michael Feinstein is hosting a public television series, and he's bringing some current and former Songbook Youth Ambassadors along for the ride.

Now titled 
American Songbook at NJPAC Hosted by Michael Feinstein, the show celebrates the Songbook legacy with performances and informal artist conversations recorded at the New Jersey Performing Arts Center in Newark. The fourth season of the six-episode series is now airing weekly on New Jersey Public Television and will be broadcast thoughout the New York City metro area this spring, for starters. Episodes are posted online here after airing.

In the season premiere that aired last week, Feinstein made his hosting debut with SNL alum Ana Gasteyer, two-time Tony Award winner Brian Stokes Mitchell and our very own 2015 Songbook Youth Ambassador Lucas DeBard of Lebanon, Ind. Watch the full episode here.

In fact, alongside various stars of stage and screen, four episodes feature Songbook Youth Ambassadors – winners of the annual Songbook Academy® competition who performed Jan. 7 at the Palladium in the inaugural Songbook Academy® All-Stars concert. Upcoming episodes hosted by Feinstein include:
