Kristin Chenoweth to headline annual gala Sept. 30

Tables still available for purchase; single tickets go on sale July 20

Emmy and Tony award-winning actress and singer Kristin Chenoweth will be the headlining performer for this year's Songbook Celebration presented by Krieg DeVault, the Center for the Performing Arts' annual gala on Sept. 30.

Center Artistic Director Michael Feinstein also will perform at the Palladium event, which will include a Great American Songbook Hall of Fame induction ceremony for jazz great Ella Fitzgerald, lyricist Ray Gilbert and actress, singer and dancer Mitzi Gaynor. All proceeds benefit the Center's artistic and educational programs.

Chenoweth’s career spans film, television, voiceover and stage. Among the highlights, she originated the role of Glinda the Good Witch in the Broadway production of Wicked and has earned acclaim for her work on TV’s Glee, Pushing Daisies and The West Wing. As a vocalist, she has performed to sold-out audiences around the world and won praise last year for her first album of Great American Songbook classics, The Art of Elegance, which debuted at No. 1 on Billboard’s Current Jazz and Traditional Jazz charts and on Amazon’s Vocal Pop chart.

The Songbook Celebration begins with the 5 p.m. cocktail reception and includes a dinner, live auction, program and three after-parties. Tables for the entire evening are still available for purchase. More information on the event and table purchases is available here.

Individual tickets for the after-dinner events only – including the Hall of Fame ceremony, performances and after-parties – will go on sale July 20, starting at $100. For tickets and more information, call the Box Office at (317) 843-3800 or visit www.thecenterfortheperformingarts.org/tickets.
