‘An Evening with Coach Bob Knight’ at the Palladium
April 7 event announced; Tickets on sale Monday, December 5

Carmel (November 29, 2011) – The Center for the Performing Arts presents “An Evening with Coach Bob Knight.” The event is April 7, 2012 at 7:30 p.m. in the Palladium. Tickets go on sale Monday, December 5 and will be available for purchase starting at 6 a.m. online at At 10 a.m., tickets will be available at the Palladium box office and by phone at 317-843-3800.

During the Palladium event, basketball coach Bob Knight highlights his career from start to present day. He discusses life and career events, his mentors, and students he has taught and coached. Coach Knight began his career at West Point Military Academy and coached for over 40 years before resigning from Texas Tech in 2008. From 1971-2000, he led Indiana University to three NCAA championships, one National Invitation Tournament (NIT) championship, and 11 Big Ten championships. He was named the National Coach of the Year four times, Big Ten Coach of the Year six times and he led the USA to Olympic Gold in 1984, becoming one of only three basketball coaches to win an NCAA title, NIT title and an Olympic gold medal.

The Center for the Performing Arts, in Carmel City Center, includes the 1,600-seat Palladium concert hall, the Tarkington 500-seat proscenium theater and the 200-seat Studio Theater. The Center is a permanent fixture on the Central Indiana landscape and will provide an extraordinary listening experience for audiences.
